Over a two month span, Mensans gathered
in beautiful downtown Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas at the home of the Ely's to
design and construct a boat made entirely from cardboard. These photos document
the entire process, including the July 4th race in Heber Springs Arkansas. Our
one "claim to fame"...
WE DIDN'T SINK!!!

If We Build It, It Will Float! |
Ok, let's get started |
Ahh! The first cut.

This is a skeleton? |
Yeah! One pontoon put together.

All painted, now let's put it all together. |
A little glue should help hold everything together (we hope)

Ok, so where's the bathroom going to be? |
Shaping up nicely
Ok, this MIGHT work after all.

The Maiden Voyage! |

Off the truck |
And into the water |
A good sign... it didn't sink like a rock. |
Hold it steady, Andi.
Ok, it REALLY does float. |
AND it'll support two people.

The Finishing Touches |

Let's not forget anybody.
We might need to go with smaller print. |
Now, what shall we call her? |
Ship for Brains!
